1. About these terms
These terms apply when you download or use the Minhakim Travels JP app ("the app"), run by Minhakim Travels Sdn Bhd (company no. 1011569A, tourism licence KPL/LN 6979) ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. How we handle your personal data is explained in the App Privacy Policy.
2. What the app is for
The app is a companion for trips booked with Minhakim Travels. It shows your flights, hotel, day-by-day itinerary and guide, helps you contact us, and includes Japan tips and Japanese basics. You cannot book or pay for travel in the app. Your trip itself is governed by your booking and our Terms of Service; if anything in the app conflicts with your booking confirmation, the booking confirmation applies.
3. Your account
- Give accurate details and keep them up to date.
- Each account is for one person. Keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else has used it.
- You can reset your password with a code we email to you, and delete your account at any time in Settings.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.
4. Trip codes and your travel group
- We give each confirmed booking a trip code. Everyone in your party uses the same code to link the trip.
- Share your trip code only with people travelling with you. Anyone who enters it can see the trip and the details your group has chosen to share.
- Only confirmed trips can be linked. If a trip is cancelled, it is removed from the app.
5. Trip information
- Times, venues and plans can change because of weather, traffic, opening hours or other events. Your guide will confirm the day's plan and any changes.
- The app saves your trip so it works offline, but an offline copy may not show recent changes. When in doubt, check with your guide or with us.
- Photos in the itinerary are reference photos of the area. They may not show your exact hotel, restaurant or the season you travel in.
- Japan tips and Japanese lessons are general guidance. Always follow local laws, signs and official instructions.
6. What you add
- Make sure the details you add, such as passport details, are correct. Only add someone else's details, such as an emergency contact, if they are happy for you to do so.
- Guide reviews must be honest and respectful. We use them to improve our tours and may share them with the guide. We won't publish your name with a review without asking you.
7. Fair use
Please don't:
- try to guess trip codes or access trips, accounts or data that aren't yours;
- interfere with, overload, copy or reverse engineer the app or our systems;
- use the app to harass anyone or for anything unlawful.
8. Other services
Some buttons open other services, such as WhatsApp, Google Maps or your email app. Those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
9. Emergencies
The app helps you reach us and your guide, but it is not an emergency service. In an emergency in Japan, call 110 for the police or 119 for an ambulance or the fire service.
10. Availability and changes
The app is free to download and use. We work to keep it running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may update, change or stop features, and may update these terms. If we make important changes, we will tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using the app afterwards, the new terms apply.
11. Our responsibility
We provide the app with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses from using the app, or for problems caused by your device, your internet connection or other services. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Malaysian consumer law or any liability that cannot legally be limited. Our responsibility for your trip itself is set out in your booking terms.
12. Ending
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. These terms end when your account is deleted, except the parts that by their nature should continue.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction.
